The 2.7 inch tri-color e-ink display is an Arduino e-ink display that contains 264x176 pixels, each pixel can display white/black/red. This shield communicates with the Arduino via the SPI interface, which reserves a Grove I2C interface for other modules to use. Through the comparison circuit, the self-adaptation of 3.3V and 5V voltage system is realized.
Compared to traditional LCD displays, E-Ink requires no backlight, so power consumption is extremely low. And the e-ink has a very wide viewing angle and very high contrast, even in direct sunlight. In addition to this, e-ink can display user-set images for extended periods of time (weeks or even months) without any power.
